All reading stays free
Your contribution is voluntary and helps fund our research, writing, illustrations and website costs. You do not need to pay to read any of our website articles, stories or comics, including future releases.
Support does not purchase a membership, goods, commissioned work, exclusive content or editorial influence. It is not conditional on a particular piece being published or on a publishing schedule. Books and merchandise, where offered, are separate purchases.
We Could Wonder is not a charity. Contributions are not eligible for Gift Aid, and we do not promise that they are tax-deductible.
Monthly payments
The monthly option is £4.50 in pounds sterling (GBP). Stripe shows the amount and frequency before you confirm. Your first payment is taken when you subscribe, followed by a payment each month until you cancel. There is no minimum number of months and no free trial.
Stripe uses the words “subscribe” and “subscription” to describe the recurring payment arrangement. All reading remains free whether you contribute or not. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency-conversion charges if you pay from a non-GBP account.
Managing or cancelling your support
You can request cancellation at any time through the Stripe customer portal, using your checkout email address. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period and stops the next renewal. Check the cancellation confirmation and date shown in the portal.
If you cannot access the portal, email us for help. Cancelling future payments does not automatically refund payments already made, and it has no effect on your access to our free reading.
Mistakes, refunds and payment questions
If you paid by mistake, see a duplicate or unexpected charge, or want to request a refund, email us with the payment date, amount and email address used at checkout. Please do not send your full card number or security code. We will review the payment and explain the next steps. Nothing in these terms limits any legal rights you have.
Your information
Stripe handles checkout and payment details. Our privacy notice explains the information we receive and why we use it. Supporting us does not sign you up to marketing emails.
Changes
We will not increase your recurring amount without your agreement. If the support arrangement changes materially, we will tell affected supporters before the change takes effect. You can cancel future payments at any time.
